Expelled: Charged with terroristic threatening

— A 14-year-old girl was expelled for the remainder of the school year from Pea Ridge Middle School after a brief closed session of the Pea Ridge School Board Monday night. She was arrested Thursday, Sept. 3, by Pea Ridgepolice and charged with terroristic threatening.

During the course of the investigation, which revolved around several threatening text messages sent to a 13-year-old girl, school officials enacted a CodeRed, locking down all four school campuses.

No weapons were found. No one was injured. As students texted their parents about the lockdown, many students were checked out of school throughout the day.
