What position do you play? Guard.
Have you lived in Pea Ridge all your life? All my life.
How many years have you played football? I played Pee Wee, then in junior high, then my freshmen year and junior year, too.
What are your plans after high school? Going to college, maybe the National Guard. That will help get my college paid for. They want a six-year commitment but they count all your school years as part of that.
Any relation to Javier Torres? No, we’re just friends with the same last name. At the beginning of the year, since we got a new coach, he thought we were brothers.
What’s the best advice you ever got from a coach? Never give up, always keep going till the whistle blows. Each and every person has a job and, if everyone does their job, it will all work out.
What do you like to do in your free time? Hang out with my girlfriend and help out around the house.
If you were a car, what kind would you be and why? An LS-9 2010 Chevy Camaro - 705 horsepower.
What’s your most memorable football moment? In junior high, I had the hardest hit of the season It was a quarterback, I was a linebacker. They were running a pass play and I blitzed and he didn’t even see me.
Did you feel bad about hurting him? No, it’s football. I hope he’s fine now though.
If you could, what pro team would you play for?
The Cincinnati Bengals.
How do you feel about the season being over and high school almost done, too? I’m going to miss my friends, but life goes on.
