— Javier Torres Fullback

What position do you play? Fullback.

Where are you from? Springdale, I have lived here for four years.

How many years have you played football in Pea Ridge? Four years.

Do you have any plans after high school? As of now, no. Just to be done with high school. I’d like to maybe be a psychologist or counselor or something.

What kind of hobbies do you have? I like to listen to music, mostly rap, I like Lil Wayne.

Does the team listen to music to get pumped up before a game? Yeah, we all get out our iPods and listen to our own music. Some like rap, some like harder metal stuff.

Do you have any goals for yourself this year? Just to get through the year.

What is your most memorable football moment? After I got hit, we were in the huddle and (Tyler) Ramsey was telling me I had to block left and I kept asking “which way?” and he would say “left!” and he had to keep telling me. I ended up going the right way though.

It was a good run (before I got hit), like 15 yards. I spun off a guy and was off balance and hit the ground. I was concussed (suffering from a concussion).

What was your favorite game to play this year? Elkins - it was our first game.

It was how everyone was going to see us for the season and the first time we played together as a team.

How do you feel about the season ending? I’m sad about the season being over, gonna miss the guys on the team. We don’t see each other much after the season, some of them I only get to talk to in football.

Do you play other sports? I’m going to try to get into track this year, the 100 meter or shot put.

Describe yourself in one word. Dedicated.

What’s the last movie you saw?

“Paranormal Activity” - it scared me. I love scary movies in the theater.
