Friday, Jan. 8

10:05 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Zancy Parker, 26, Pea Ridge, in connection with possession of a controlled substance and brake light out.

Tuesday, Jan. 12

12:43 p.m. Police assisted probation and parole officers in locating items discarded by a man running from probation officers and found a jacket and a reading glasses case containing a "loaded syringe" containing liquid which field tested positive as methamphetamine. Probation and Parole arrested Jesse Wayne Gunn, 45, Fayetteville, in connection with felony possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday, Jan. 13

11:22 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Dover Cove for a welfare check. Police discovered the children that were supposedly unattended were supervised.

2:15 p.m. Police received a complaint about noise coming from one of the storage units at Oak View Self Storage on Slack Street. The complainant said there were people at the storage unit "all day and many nights." As a result of the investigation, police cited Kasey A. Vance, 33, Bella Vista, in connection with violation of city ordinance for operating a business without a business license.

Thursday, Jan. 14

7:07 p.m. Police were advised of a "shots fired" call near a residence on Lynn Drive. As a result of the investigation, police talked with a man who admitted to discharging a firearm because the dogs in the neighborhood were barking and he was "tired of it." He was given a verbal warning for discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
