Late Saturday, Feb. 9, Pea Ridge and Little Flock Police canvassed the Givens Subdivision area searching for a suspect who fled on foot following a physical domestic disturbance at a residence on W.M.B. Franklin Avenue, according to Pea Ridge Police public information officer Michael Lisenbee.
Police were dispatched at 10:52 p.m. and, after assessing the situation, learned that reportedly a crime had taken place involving a firearm and the suspect had fled the area on foot with the firearm. Police did not locate the suspect.
About 7:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, police arrested Stephen Rapier, 45, Pea Ridge, for felony aggravated assault.
Police said they are grateful for the assistance of Little Flock Police.
"Currently, the investigation is still on-going and there are possibly additional arrests and additional criminal charges pending," Lisenbee said.
Rapier was still in Benton County Jail Tuesday, Feb. 12, in lieu of $5,000 bond on charges of felony aggravated assault. He was also charged in connection with felony first degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
