Meet the Library staff

The director of the Pea Ridge Community Library is Alex Wright, a graduate of Pea Ridge High School. She has been with the library for two years.

Wright is a native of Bentonville and has been in Pea Ridge for 13 years.

She is the library liaison for the Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library.

Her interests are reading and planning ways to help this Library grow to its fullest potential.

She and her husband, Greg, have two dogs, Hamlet and Toby.

She said: "I love the sense of community that working at the Library brings.

"We meet such fascinating individuals and many become family to us. The best days are the days when kids come into our Library and their eyes light up as they look around, true happiness."

Mary Grace Maness is a clerk with the library and just celebrated her one-year anniversary there. A native of Jacket, Mo., she has been in Pea Ridge for two months.

She said she enjoys reading, playing bluegrass and baking.

She said she is married to Curtis Maness.

What she likes about her job are the books, the people and the cute babies.

Rebecca "Becca" Tillman is a clerk. A native of Garfield, she has been in Pea Ridge for 14 years and employed with the city for three months.

Her interests include drawing, writing, photography, art, piano and dance.

Becca has two cats, Remington, 11, and Spud, 2.

She said being around books and talking to patrons -- the aesthetic -- is what she loves about her job.

Debi Hale, library clerk and grant seeker, is a native of Rogers. She moved to Pea Ridge in 2015. She has been with the library for about 18 months.

Her interests include gardening, running, farming, reading and the Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library.

She said: "I'm interested in helping develop people and places."

She said she is the wife of one and mother of six.

As for her job, she said: "I love the community outreach.

"Pea Ridge is full of great folks who make my job both rewarding and enjoyable every day. I love to help connect people with books they love and other resources they need."
