Coaches presented awards to Blackhawk athletes for the fall sports at a ceremony Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the cafeteria at Pea Ridge High School.

• Newcomer of the Year -- Cassidy Mooneyhan, played three different positions for us; utility player; great attitude; great team kid

• Ace Award -- Madison McGuire, 83 aces, 85 percent serving percentage

• Blackhawk Award -- Gabby Adams, energy bug; injured and she carried our team from the bench; came in and did whatever was needed to win

• Blackhawk Award -- Maria Socha, steady; not a glory player; does what needs to be done; leader on and off the court

• Defensive Player of the Year -- Bridget Willis, 218 digs; does whatever she can to get to each ball

• Offensive Player of the Year -- Kynley Burton, 177 kills, highest H percentage on our team at .175; 24 blocks

• MVP -- Josey Goldberg, freshmen; grown tremendously in her leadership and team mentality; 274 kills, highest percentage; .13187 aces; 86.6 percent; 16 blocks; 272 digs
