Motorcycle wreck kills one

— One man is dead and a woman injured as the result of a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on N. Arkansas Highway 94 north of Pea Ridge, according to Arkansas State Police.

Robert Dale Randolph, 56, of Pea Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene just south of White Oak Ridge Road.

Randolph reportedly pulled out of a driveway south of the wrecksite, turned left (north) into the path of an oncoming 1998 Dodge pickup truck driven by Cody Freeman, 24, of Bella Vista. According to the police report, Freeman passed Randolph to avoid a collision, then Randolph passed Freeman causing him to lose control of his truck, run off the roadway to the right, then cross the roadway to the left, overturn and land, upright, on the side of the road.

Randolph’s motorcycle ran offthe roadway to the east. He was ejected from the motorcycle, according to police.

Freeman, his wife, Breanna Freeman, 26, and daughter, Raelyn Freeman, 9 months, were transported to Northwest Medical Center by Bella Vista Ambulance. Breanna was treated, then released.

Traffic was blocked for more than an hour. Bella Vista police and ambulance and Pea Ridge police and ambulance assisted state police.
