PEA RIDGE SCHOOL NEWS

— The high school drama play “Next Victim, Please,” will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the high school cafeteria.

Immunizations changed

Beginning this fall, seventh-graders must have a T-dap if it has been at least two years since they had tetanus, according to the new state Immunization Rules and Regulation.

The T-dap is being recommended over the regular tetanus due to the recent outbreaks of pertussis in Arkansas. The oldrule was that a tetanus was recommended every 10 years preventively and every five years when a person was injured.

T-dap contains: Tetanus, Diphtheria, and pertussis; Tetanus only contains: Tetanus.

Blood Drive planned

The PRHS chapter of the National Honor Society and The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 17, in the high school gym lobby.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate.
