Monday, May 7

9:35 a.m. A resident of Bella Vista reported that a trailer he left at a residence on Patterson Road had been stolen. The 16-foot dump trailer was locked. It was discovered missing at 7 a.m. Monday morning.

11:03 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lynn Drive for a verbal disturbance. As a result of an investigation, police arrested a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female in connection with charges of possession of Sch. IV or V and possession of drug paraphernalia.

12:24 p.m. Police were dispatched to Walmart for a theft report that occurred on May 6. According to the report, the suspects took cash that was accidentally left by another customer and did not accurately scan all items purportedly being purchased at the self-check out. As a result of the investigation, police cited Mary Meadors, 61, Garfield, in connection with theft of property and Gerald Meadors, 64, Garfield, in connection with shoplifting. The cash was recovered and returned to the owner.

4:17 p.m. A resident of Ryan Road reported a stray dog at her house. An employee of the Street Department transported the dog to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. A second dog was also found standing in the ditch nearby. It, too, was taken to the vet clinic.

Tuesday, May 8

1 p.m. Police transported Mandy Mitchell, 36, Pea Ridge, to jail after she received a court commit from Judge Bunch during court.

Thursday, May 10

12:20 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Rey R. Zapien, 29, Rogers, in connection with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; failure to signal, driving on a suspended license and given a warning for careless driving. He was transported to Rogers for an active warrant from Rogers.

1 p.m. A resident of Lynn Drive reported two dogs running loose on Carr Street. They were caught by the complainant and transported to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic by a city employee. At 8:40 on May 11, Jason Wilson, 44, Pea Ridge, claimed the dogs. He was cited for dog-at-large.

9:54 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lynn Drive for a welfare check. As a result of the investigation, police referred the complainant to an attorney for a civil remedy.

Friday, May 11

10:15 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested a passenger in the stopped vehicle, James Dakota Laine Edwards, 22, Rogers, in connection with possession of meth or cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Arturo A. Garcia, 23, Rogers, was cited for driving on a suspended driver's license.

5:16 p.m. Police were dispatched to a private property accident, hit and run, which happened on a business parking lot. Alondra Miranda-Almengor 19, Berryville, told police she parked about 9:30 a.m. and upon returning to her vehicle about 5 p.m., she noticed damage to the passenger rear corner of her vehicle. The incident is under investigation; police are reviewing security video.

Saturday, May 12

6:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Clark Street for a delayed physical disturbane that happened the previous afternoon. As a result of the investigation, police obtained a warrant for the suspect for third-degree assault on a family or household member.

Monday, May 14

2:31 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop on South Curtis Avenue, police arrested Coby Francisco, 20, Pea Ridge, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia; Jordan Deangelo, 18, Pea Ridge, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Esmeralda Aldaco, 18, Rogers, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and driving left of center.

5:29 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Shane E. Tedford, 18, Pea Ridge, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:06 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Crystal L. Lynch, 36, Anderson, Mo., on Pea Ridge warrants for contempt fail to pay fines and costs and failure to appear; and in connection with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernaia. The driver, Jessica Rhinehart, 30, Pea Ridge, was given a warning for a headlight out.

Tuesday, May 15

11:58 a.m. The School Resource Officer was advised that there was a stray dog that had entered the school and was wandering around a class room. An employee from the Street Department transported the dog to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. It was later released to its owner.

2:22 p.m. A resident of East Harris Street reported finding a dog and securing it in his back yard. A Street Department employee was dispatched to transport the dog to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The owner, Sydney Erin Buttrey, 23, Pea Ridge, claimed the dog and was cited for dog at large.

11:13 p.m. Police were dispatched to the Walmart Neighborhood Market for a shoplifting call. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Derrick Wayne Croy, 31, Pea Ridge, in connection for theft of property and criminal trespassing.

Wednesday, May 16

1:42 pm. Police were dispatched to City Hall for a private property accident involving a vehicle that crashed into the building. As a result of the investigation, police cited Alta Montgomery, 80, Rogers, in connection for careless and prohibited driving. She told police she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake when parking.

2:25 p.m. A tractor-trailer pulling a trailer with a backhoe on it caught a cable hanging across Weston Street causing the Carroll Electric pole to blow a transformer and power to go out in the neighborhood. According to the police report, the low-hanging cable belonged to Cox Cable. During the night, the cable was caught by another vehicle and the pole was "ripped out of the ground," according to the report. The pole reportedly belonged to Century Link.

Thursday, May 17

4:53 a.m. Police were notified that the Fire Department was dispatched to a utility emergency on Weston Street near Kings lane regarding a power line down and laying across the road. Police said there was debris on the road from a power pole broken off about four feet above the ground. A mailbox belonging to New Life Fellowship Church was also damaged. A section of the pole (17 feet in length) was found about 200 yards from its original site. No vehicle was found

6:24 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Greene Street for a stray dog that was not aggressive. It was transported to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic by a city worker.

12:45 p.m. Police made contact with residents at a residence on Hays Street concerning a wanted fugitive wanted on active arrest warrants from Pea Ridge, Bentonville and Benton County. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Joshua D. Clinton, 41, Pea Ridge, and Peachs Marie Phillips, 37, Pea Ridge, in connection with possession of meth or cocaine purpose to deliver; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of Sch. VI; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and assorted items containing methamphetamine and/or marijuana residue.

2:47 p.m. Police were dispatched to a motor-vehicle accident with possible injury at the intersection of Slack Street and Halleck Lane involving three vehicles. Drivers were Daniel J. Padua, 40, Pea Ridge; Victoria Brooke Jackson, 44, Pea Ridge; and Cynthia Artherton, 35, Purdy, Mo. As a result of the investigation, police cited Artherton in connection with careless/prohibited driving and following too closely.
