Raymond Buttram

Raymond Buttram, 86, of Avoca, Ark., died May 9, 2018. He was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Rogers to Harry and Louise Buttram.

He married Jackie Ruddell in 1951 in Rogers and worked in the automotive business before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge, he returned to Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas graduating in 1961. After graduation he worked for Walker Manufacturing of Racine, Wis., for more than 30 years. Living in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas, Ray and Jackie moved back to Avoca upon retirement for him to hunt and fish with old friends and her to work in the garden.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Ruddell Buttram; and his parents.

Survivors are his wife of nearly 67 years, Jackie; a daughter, Leslie Rae Beltz of Grand Island, Neb.; a granddaughter, Dana Deyle and her husband Luke of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Tripp and Sloane Deyle; and a brother, Dale and his wife Joy of Avoca.

A private gathering of immediate family will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Benton County Memorial Park Rogers, Ark.

Steven James Gidney

Steven James Gidney, 64, of Pea Ridge died Sunday, May 6, in Cassville, Mo. He was born March 23, 1954, in Liberal, Kan., to Dolores and James Gidney.

He was an active member of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International and a founding member of the Arkansas River Chapter of POCI. He enjoyed road trips, long drives and working on old cars. He was also a longtime employee of Little Debbie in Gentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are one sister, Sue Gidney of Rogers; and many close friends.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Riverfront Pavilion picnic area at Roaring River State Park in Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pontiac-Oakland Car Museum in Pontiac, Ill., or Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

Peggy Jo Gobble

Peggy Jo Gobble, 79, of Rogers died May 11, 2018. She was born June 4, 1938, in Monte Ne to the late daughter of Arvil and Syble Taylor Clardy. After the passing of her father she was raised by her grandparents, Alfred and Laura Clardy.

She formerly worked for Walmart. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1956 and was a member of Monte Ne Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by four siblings. Larry Clardy, Mary Helen Clardy, Doyle Rigsbee and Joann Harris; and one great-grandson, Jayden Tyler.

Survivors are her husband, James Gobble of the home (they were married Sept. 7, 1957); two children, Carla Hency and Luther Gobble, both of Garfield; three brothers, Roland Clardy of Hiwasse, Eddie Rigsbee of Fayetteville and Tommy Rigsbee of Rogers; two grandchildren, Stacey and Emily; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield, Ark., with pastor Gene Layman officiating.

Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.

Dora Alicia Jimenez

Dora Alicia Jimenez, 62, of Garfield, died May 11 at Legacy Hospice in Bentonville. She was born July 5, 1955, in Nogales Sonora, Mexico, to Juan Lucero Gutierrez and Guadalupe Jimenez-Gutierrez.

She married Heliodoro Jimenez June 15, 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Garfield. She loved her family and church very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jesus Jimenez; a daughter, Maria Luisa Jimenez Rios; and a sister, Consuelo Gomez.

Survivors are her husband, Heliodoro Huerta Jimenez of the home; three sons, Heliodoro Jimenez, Jr. (Rania) of Bakersfield, Calif., Juan Carlos Jimenez (Christine) of Bentonville and Luis Alberto Jimenez of Garfield ; two daughters, Esther Rios (Jose) of Bentonville and Dora Nerio (Miguel) of Garfield; nine brothers and sisters, Francisca Serrano, Juan Gutierrez, Jose Gutierrez, Josefina Gutierrez, Christobal Gutierrez, Avelina Toy, Jesus Gutierrez, Alfredo Gutierrez and Marielena Magno; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge.

Service is set for 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at First Baptist Church in Garfield.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral home in Pea Ridge.

Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery.
