Theodore 'Ted' H. Conley

Retired Army Lt. Col. Theodore "Ted" H. Conley, 73, of Garfield, Ark., died Feb. 25, 2018, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Ark. He was born May 31, 1944, in Mountain Home, Ark., to Mac A. and Marie Cox Conley.

He was a 1966 graduate of the University of Arkansas when he then enlisted in the Army. He retired after 28 years of service. He went to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural carrier and retired for the second time. He most recently worked at Comfort Suites in Bentonville as the shuttle driver. He was a member of the Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church.

He loved spending time with his family, friends, his Spanish class and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Gwen Post Conley; two daughters, Teresa Bean Mills of Bentonville, Ark., and Tammie Walker of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a son, Brad Conley and daughter-in-law Jessica of Cave Springs, Ark.; one brother, Winfred and wife Bonnie Conley of Mountain Home; one sister, Peggy and husband Wayne Morris of Mountain Home; and eight grandchildren, Ashley Mills and Taylor Mills, Haley and husband Colter Webb, Dylan Walker, Jason Conley, Colby Willett, Kelsey Willett, Paige Conley; and two great-granddaughters, Ava and Berkley.

The family would like to thank his dear friend, Susan Turner, for the special care she provided to Ted during his illness.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, in Benton County Funeral Home.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, in Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St. Rogers, Ark.

Interment with military honors was in the Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.

Alan Robert Johnson

Alan Robert Johnson, 67, died Feb. 26, 2018, in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Aug. 7, 1950, to Ivan C. Johnson and Bonnie King Johnson in Heber Springs, Ark.

He was a master auto mechanic and owner of Johnson Tire Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Christian and a member of New Life Church in Heber Springs, as well as Grace Hills Church in Rogers, Ark. He was also an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Bonnie Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Maria E. Acord Johnson; three brothers, James I. (Jim) Johnson of Heber Springs, Randy C. Johnson of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Michael L. Johnson of Heber Springs; a sister, Kathy L. Cramer of Heber Springs; four children, a son, Alan C. Johnson and wife, Jennifer of Bella Vista, Ark., their children Ivan and Katie, a daughter, Ginny Harper and husband, Sean of Pea Ridge, Ark., and their children Aaron, Natalie, and Sarah, Wes and wife, Mary and their two daughters, Sadie and Makiyla; a daughter, Maggie Paulus and husband, Brent, of Buchanan, Mich., their four children: Gideon, Hope, Sam, Haven; and a son, David Johnson of Rogers, Ark.; and other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, in New Life Church at Heber Springs.

Argie Lon Miller

Argie Lon Miller, 75, Pea Ridge, died March 2, 2018, in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Rudd, Ark., to Loyd and Sarah (Chaney) Miller.

Survivors are his wife, Jeri Lynn Miller; and sister, Charlotte Nyberg.
