Alex Wright, library director Pea Ridge Community Library

Greetings, Library family.

As many of you know, the Library is doing amazing this year, with growth rates currently at a 50 percent increase compared to year 2017. This increase of patrons and programs brings a huge sense of accomplishment to our employees, volunteers and Friends of the Library nonprofit organization.

Library hours

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There is one group however that this increase greatly affects and they are in need of your help -- the Pea Ridge Community Library Board. This is a collection of individuals that meets on a monthly to quarterly basis to help me, the Library director, run this library exactly how you, the community, need and deserve it to be run. They vote to approve larger purchases and discuss the best programs for us to introduce. To sum it up, these generous people donate their time to help properly direct the growth of the Library.

Unfortunately, we currently only have two board members on what is supposed to be a five-member board and are looking for those with the right qualifications to fill the vacant spots. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and live in the city limits of Pea Ridge. It is our hopes to have a fully staffed board of diversely skilled individuals to help creatively curb the current and future growth of what is rapidly becoming this town's community center.

If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a board member, or even getting more information on what it means to be a board member, please stop by the Library. Candidates are asked to have a resume and letter of intent for why they think they would be a good fit for one of the three open spots. To my fellow book lovers, may the odds be ever in your favor!
