Ozark Animals Photo Exhibit

Creatures Great and Small, a photo exhibit exploring Ozark animals, opened Monday, Dec. 12, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. The exhibit will include historic photos of animals as companions, guides, food providers, laborers, athletes, wildlife and modes of transportation. Creatures Great and Small will be on display through May 12, 2018.

Call for Collectors

The Shiloh Museum's 10th annual "Cabin Fever Reliever" open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, in the museum. The event will feature displays by some two dozen local collectors. Among the collections to be shown are Scandinavian collectibles, buttons, plushies, toy horses, safety razors, dolls, Andrea bird figurines, die-cast cars, tobacco collectibles, hats, Breyer horses, paperweights, toy trucks, clear glass collectibles, Victorian knife rests, magnets, Raggedy Ann and Andy toys, Hummel figurines, Donald Duck collectibles, circus wagon models, feather bird artwork, Pueblo art, Hardanger embroidery, and Asian collectibles.

Pre-Civil War Architecture

Historic preservation consultant Joan Gould will discuss her work to document pre-Civil War architecture in northwest Arkansas in a program entitled, "Obviously, Nothing Here is Arbitrary," at noon Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

Victorian Valentines

The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History will explore the history of Valentine's Day, from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20. Children of all ages are invited to make and take a Victorian-style Valentine. The program is part of the museum's Shiloh Saturday series for families.

The Northwest Arkansas Sacred Harp Singers will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

LifeWriters

LifeWriters, a group for people interested in writing the stories of their own lives or those of family and friends, will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

Civil War Roundtable

The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

Wireless Society to Meet

The Ozark Wireless Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
