Letter to the Editor

Gratitude expressed

I would be remiss to not circle back and say a resounding thank you to everyone who played a role in the successful millage campaign. My team and I do not take on projects that I don't believe in. The new Pea Ridge High School is not only something I believe in but that I am inspired by.

When I attend luncheons and meetings across northwest Arkansas, Pea Ridge is always one of the first schools to be mentioned regarding being proactive for career/ college preparedness. The construction of the new high school will keep Pea Ridge in the forefront of pioneering education. It will allow students to compete at a global level and make confident post-graduation choices.

Thank you to everyone who advocated, offered insight, made phone calls, sent messages, wrote letters to the paper, and everything in between! I am aware of the controversy that is expected to surround any investment and feel privileged that we live in a country where our vote does count. It is expected that after the passing of the millage there will continue to be controversy but as community, everyone can come together to respect those in leadership roles. They are truly passionate about equipping students with the tools to compete globally and make confident post-graduation decisions. The positive impact that this project will make far exceeds the investment. I am in the midst of writing many thank you notes but I may not be able to do so for each and every person that influenced the campaign. Just know that the board, the administration, myself, and every student who will enter the Pea Ridge school system is grateful for YOU. I look forward to continuing to serve and support this community that I owe so much to. I absolutely cannot wait to see what the fruition of this project brings!
