Boutique offers unique items

Enjoying shopping for their nieces and nephews, Natasha and Watson Neal were inspired to open a clothing boutique.

"We really liked doing that. I like being able to provide a good quality product, something unique for a good price," Natasha said.

The Broken Window Boutique opened the end of March in a strip mall on Slack Street. They are open on Fridays and Saturdays, but Natasha said she is available other hours by appointment.

"We offer a range of women's clothing from size small to 3XL, girls clothing most ranging 2T to 8 and a limited supply of boys clothing ranging 2T to 8,' she said. "We also have jewelry and accessories to include earrings, necklaces, bracelets, purses, thermal totes, backpacks, wallets, scarves and hair bows."

The Neals live in Pea Ridge, where they moved about two years ago.

"We love it in Pea Ridge!" she said, enthusiastically. "We love the area! I love the people, everybody is so nice. We keep pretty busy with this and our regular jobs. We love going out on lake when we have time."

Natasha is originally from southern Louisiana and Watson is from Pine Bluff. She works full time for WalMart in technology and she works in WalMart accounting.

"We work full-time jobs," she said. "We're trying to get to open on more afternoons."

"One of my things mainly was that I wanted to find more clothing options that I was interested in. I don't like to spend a whole lot of money -- wanted something affordable," she said, explaining that customers can purchase several pieces for $100. "That was the main goal -- going forward, we want to keep it affordable and provide nice quality."

"We have puravida bracelets and rings -- that's a brand a lot of people like right now," she said. "We always ask customers to let us know what they want."

There are aromatherapy bracelets made by Natasha's aunt. They have lava beads on them onto which essential oils can be placed.

The Neals have three nephews and two nieces, some here and some in Louisiana, and still enjoy buying clothes for them. She said children are welcome in the store and there is a small play place to keep them entertained.

"We do have a lot of repeat customers," she said.

The Neals have added a new t-shirt line created by a local craftsman who does screen printing.

"We like to buy local," Watson said.

"I love it," customer Laura Witt said, while trying on a top. "There's something about this brand -- it just fits!"

To make an appointment, Natasha said customers can contact her via Facebook or call and leave a message or text at 479-802-4857. "We're pretty flexible in afternoons and can during day if we have enough notice," she said.

"If you see the flag, we're here," Watson said. He said soon the store will be carrying products by Ganz including Christmas ornaments.

Customers are welcome to pay by cash or card. Checks are not accepted.
