The Middle School bands are growing quickly. This school year, around 90 percent of the sixth grade class is in beginning band. This is huge growth for the Middle School. There are currently have 75 members in the Middle School band. With this growth, comes more opportunities for band parent involvement and additional resources needed from the boosters. In consideration is adding a few new, fun ways to involve the Beginning Band (sixth grade only) and Middle School Band (seventh and eighth grade). Stay tuned for more information as the year progresses. It is important for everyone to join in fundraising and participation, so programs can continue to grow for the students.

Booster Club officials ask that all band parents go to the bands' and boosters' website at www.prsband.weebly.com to review and complete the parent commitment form. This allows each to better understand what it takes from the school, directors and boosters, to bring these groups together, and will allow better communication throughout the year. The online calendar includes Middle School bands, High School Band, guard and (some) choir dates, and allows parents to sync it with their personal calendars. The website also houses volunteer opportunities, how to connect with the Booster Club, and a list of sponsors. As for social media, the Booster Club maintains Facebook pages and an Instagram account.

For information, comments, suggestions or other input, reach out to the band directors or band booster board members directly. That's what we are here for, to create and improve our relationships with one another, while we find ways to create memorable and meaningful experiences for our kids and community.
