Saturday, Sept. 2

11:40 a.m. Police were notified of a reckless driver on North Curtis Avenue. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Lena Marie Struble, 41, Lincoln, Ark., for possession of Sch. I or II and no proof of insurance.

Monday, Sept. 4

4:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Smith Street for a stray dog. A resident said the dog had been there all day. The Pea Ridge Street Department was contacted to transport the dog to the vet clinic.

7:22 p.m. Police were dispatched to the area of Cardin Road and South Curtis Avenue for a road rage incident that escalated into a disturbance, according to police. As a result of the investigation, police cited Mayanne Sims, 29, Garfield, for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Sept. 5

8:10 a.m. While attempting to serve a warrant at a residence on Van Dorn Street, police apprehended Amanda Marie Fowler 38, Rogers, and arrested her for felony possession of meth or cocaine and a warrant from the Arkansas Board of Parole.

10 a.m. Police received a report of a blue passenger car that passed a stopped school bus this morning. The stop sign and red flashing lights were activated, according to the bus driver. The incident happened outside the city limits so police gave the information to Benton County Sheriff's Office.

1:45 p.m. While on patrol, police observed a male and female standing in the middle of the street talking in front of a residence on Van Dorn. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Michael Shane Paxton, 32, Rogers, who resisted arrest resulting in an injury to one of the officers. Paxton was charged with felony possession of meth or cocaine, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony warrant from another agency and resisting arrest.

3:30 p.m. Police took a report of a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot at the high school involving two juveniles who had backed out of parking spaces at the same time and into one anothers' vehicles There was no damage to either vehicle. Neither driver wanted a report; school officials said school policy requires a report.

4:35 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Luke Street for a theft of water report. The resident said that while she was out of town, it appeared that 5,000 gallons of water was used on one day and 6,000 on another day.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

11:34 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on McCulloch Street for a medical call and then were alerted the incident was a disturbance. None of the parties involved wished to press charges and there were no injuries.

2:43 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested James M. Brown, 53, Decatur, for possession of a controlled substance for a Sch. II narcotic (felony), possession of a controlled substance Sch. VI narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:17 p.m. Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on South Curtis Avenue near the Fire Station involving vehicles driven by Teisha Rene Weisenfels 32, Pea Ridge, and David L. Davis, 28, Powell, Mo. As a result of the investigation, Davis was taken into custody for driving on a suspended driver's license and cited for careless and prohibited driving, no proof of insurance and driver's license suspended.

8:52 p.m. As a result of an investigation into a report of a reckless driver, police arrested Stephen M. Douothit, 42, Bella Vista, for DWI.

Thursday, Sept. 7

2:50 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested David W. Barnum, 41, Pea Ridge, for warrants from Lowell and Pea Ridge. He was turned over to Lowell Police.

Friday, Sept. 8

9:55 a.m. Police were dispatched to McDonald's for a report of an injury accident involving a vehicle and a bicyclist from which the vehicle fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was a newer model, gold, four-door passenger vehicle. The victim, Carl Lee Bradshaw, 30, Pea Ridge, declined to be transported by medics.

3:27 p.m. Police were dispatched to a non-injury motor-vehicle accident on North Curtis Avenue involving vehicles driven by Chancel Pike 66, Rogers, and Sheryl Ann Bronson, 59, Rogers. Bronson was cited for careless and prohibited driving and no proof of insurance.
