Lady 'Hawks volleyball team entering final week

The Lady Blackhawk volleyball team enters their final week of the regular season with two conference games left on their schedule.

The 'Hawks traveled to Alpena Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will host conference leader Berryville Thursday. Last weekend, the Lady 'Hawks played three games at McDonald County High School, splitting a pair of matches with Diamond (2-0, and 1-2) while taking a 2-0 decision over East Newton.

After conference play, the Lady 'Hawks will enter the 4A Northwest District Tournament with the seedings to be determined later this week. Currently, the 'Hawks have the fifth best record of the nine teams in the tournament which qualifies teams to the state tournament.

Ladyhawks rank 14th in state 4A

The Pea Ridge LadyHawk volleyballers have won two/thirds of their games to garner a No. 14 ranking among schools in the 4A classification. Games in the district and state playoffs will be weighted heavier with regards to class rankings so teams having a good run through post season could improve their rankings considerably.
