The Pea Ridge FFA Chapter took a field trip to the Arkansas/Oklahoma State Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 27. To attend the fair, the students had to have passing grades, attend the Ice Cream social, sell a minimum of 10 items in the fall fundraiser, as well as pay their FFA dues.

In total, 41 PRHS students went to the State Fair.

At the fair, students started their day by competing in a judging competition. The students had the options to judge Livestock, Poultry, Dairy Cattle or Tractor Driving. I the Dairy Cattle competition, Pea Ridge received sixth place out of 30th. For Livestock, Pea Ridge received seventh place out of 51. In Poultry, they received 24th out of 25. In Tractor Driving, the received fifth out of 10.

Once the judging competition was over, students parted ways and spent a few hours riding the rides, playing the games and, of course, eating the fair food.

All in all, we had a blast at the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair.
