The first October Optimist Club meeting was Thursday, Oct. 5.

Other club news

• Pea Ridge Optimit Club president was sworn in as the governor of the TennArk Optimist District at the fourth quarter District meeting on Sept. 23 in Little Rock. He will lead the district for the 2017-2018 Optimist Year.

• The board voted to support this year's Pea Ridge Mule Jump with a $100 sponsorship. The event is Saturday, Oct. 14. It's a great community event with fun for the entire family.
