The Giving Gallery will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, for children (ages 16 and younger) at the Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, 351 Leetown Road. This annual event offers an opportunity for children of the community to experience Christmas shopping in a warm, safe environment.

Members of the church and community have collected new and gently used items that can be purchased by the children for their family and friends at a very low cost. All items are $1 or less. With help from their parents, children make out a shopping list and a dollar amount to be spent. Gift items are then wrapped and tagged for free. There will be adults and teens to help each child as they go through the shopping process.

There will be a waiting area for parents to enjoy coffee and a breakfast sandwich while their children complete their shopping. Shopping will end at 2 p.m. All proceeds go to funding the Giving Gallery for the next year.

The number of children shoppers dramatically increase each year. We would love to see this as the best year ever for our young shoppers. To donate, contact Chrissie Doyle 479-619-6425, Judy Fortner 479-621-3178 or Ruthie Jackson 417-214-7990.
