Please don't forget next weekend is our Summer Reading kickoff party. All kindergartners to eighth-grade students can register for the Summer Reading Program as well as bring their family for a complimentary BBQ, listen to some wonderful music, have a turn in the bouncy house, get their faces painted, listen to story time and check out some amazing vehicles from our Street Department, Fire Department and Police Department. Officers from the Police Department will be here taking fingerprints and making ID cards for the children and the Optimist Club will be here checking any one's eyes for free. This will all happen between the hours of 3 to 6 p.m.

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 25, we will have Table toppers at 3:45 p.m. We have expanded our chess/checkers into a variety of board games. If you have any board games you would like to donate please bring them to the library for this event. Now is the time to join one of our many book clubs.

They have some wonderful books to read this summer and meet monthly to have a great time discussing. Our Sunday Financial Peace High School class is going wonderfully well. The youngsters are very engaged and thinking about their future. Their first step they are working on right now is saving an emergency fund of $500 dollars. This week they are writing out there first budget. June is going to be full of wonderful events to participate in here at the library. Please be on the lookout for our calendar!
