School superintendent Rick Neal and School Board members Sandy Button, Jeff Neil, Ryan Heckman, John Dye and Jenny Wood presided over graduation ceremonies Saturday.

Under the threat of rain all week, school officials had a backup plan for graduation if the predicted rain were to force postponing the ceremony. Light rain drizzled over the stadium initially, then skies cleared.

The 160 graduates of Pea Ridge High School clad in caps and gowns waited for the presentation of their diplomas. There were 81 graduates who earned honors or high honors. Members of the National Honor Society wore yellow stoles; officers wore white hoods. Other regalia included black and gold cords for high honors; gold cords for honors; blue stoles for DECA; red stoles for FCCLA; blue and gold medallion for FFA; blue and white cords for Student Council; red and white cords for PRMBA graduates; and red medallions for career and technical education completers.

Avery Dayberry, senior class president, welcomed graduates, school staff and family members of graduates.

Kamden Boyd, salutatorian, said he was glad for a great community like Pea Ridge.

Rachel Wood, National Honor Society president, led the invocation.

Valedictorian Everett Watson spoke to his classmates.

Graduate Sarah Whatley prepared to shake hands with school superintendent Rick Neal just before receiving her diploma.
