Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE is hereby given that on April 18, 2017, at 6 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Planning Commission of the Town of Avoca will hold a Public Hearing at the Avoca Town Hall, located at 222 N. Old Wire Road, to consider the following:

• Bike and Pedestrian Plan

• Changes to Master Street Plan

• Changes to Zoning Code: Mobile Homes

The purpose of this public hearing is to consider priorities and activities for the Bike and Pedestrian Plan. The 2017-18 Action Plan, which will be available as stated below, will describe the Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) and activities the Town expects to undertake in the 2017-18 fiscal year. The Town has been approved for $160,000 funding. The Town plans to use these funds for public improvements for the start of the Heritage Trail.

The release of this notice is one of the Town's activities to fulfill citizen participation requirements. Federal regulations require localities to provide the public with reasonable access to the documents.

The draft Action Plans will be available for public review on March 27th at the Avoca Town Hall, 222 N. Old Wire Road. Copies of these Action Plans will be made available upon request and are free of charge.

The Town of Avoca encourages interested parties to attend the public meeting and comment on the issues being discussed. If you wish to provide testimony and are unable to attend the meeting, written comments that are delivered to the Towns Clerk's office prior to the time of the hearing will be made a part of the public record.
