New Meadowbrook EH Club

The members of New Meadowbrook Extension Homemaker's Club met at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Lost Bridge Community Center. Ten members were in attendance and answered roll call as to how they met their spouse. Rheta Van Doren gave the devotions.

Discussion of upcoming events and as the project for the year for the club is the Animal Shelter in Springdale. Plans were made to furnish food to the volunteers there and also needs of the shelter for the animals that are there. President Karen Launderville announced all the upcoming events that involve the club, and at the close of the meeting Terri Jarding and Lisa Ingalls served food of many fruits, cheeses and dip.

Granny's Quilts of Love

Granny's Quilts of Love will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis St., Pea Ridge. Members will be cutting batting. Bring scissors and all finished quilts and batting trimmings.

Three guests attend the last meeting. They were Sue Scott, Jeanette Rambin and Sandy Brust.

To date, Granny's have made 23,644 quilts, 7,214 caps and 6,930 pillows, and all have been donated to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
