Thursday, Jan. 26

2 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police cited Clifford Lyle Ewing, 29, Pea Ridge, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, Jan. 27

6:39 p.m. Police received a report of a two-vehicle accident on Arkansas Highway 72 (Slack Street) near the intersection of It'll Do Road. Vehicles involved were a black Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Luke A. Young, 52, Rogers, and a red Honda Civic driven by Amanda K. Jones, 42, Bentonville. As a result of the investigation, police determined that both vehicles were eastbound on Hwy. 72 and there were reports of the Honda traveling at a high rate of speed and nearly colliding with on-coming traffic before colliding with the back end of the Chevrolet. Jones was cited for following too closely and careless and prohibited driving.

Saturday, Jan. 28

4:41 p.m. Police received a report from a resident of Van Dorn that two dogs just attempted to attack two people who were in their own back yard. Both people told police they wished to press charges for "harboring a vicious animal." Police were unable to contact the suspected owners of the dogs.

Sunday, Jan. 29

3:35 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Jason Smith, 31, Pea Ridge, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday, Jan. 30

9 a.m. Police received a report of two dogs running loose on the streets in Givens Place Subdivision. One was caught and transported to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The owner of the dogs, Tommy Walker, 44, Pea Ridge, was cited for two counts of dog at large.

10:15 a.m. Police took a report from two 14-year-old girls who said they were physically assaulted inside the girls' bathroom in the gym lobby at the high school. The suspects received school discipline; no criminal charges were filed.

12:42 pm. A resident reported a possible telephone scam.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

7:21 p.m. A resident of Bentonville reported her vehicle and debit card had been stolen and the card was used at two businesses in Pea Ridge.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

7:40 a.m. A resident of Gen. Franz Segal reported two stray dogs being in her back yard, that they had been there all weekend and at one point would not let the resident's daughter get out of her car. She told police one of the dogs was being aggressive. Both dogs were caught and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. The dog's owner, Tommy Walker, 44, Pea Ridge, was found and cited for dogs at large.

4:15 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on West Pickens Road for a physical disturbance between family members. As a result of the investigation, a 12-year-old female was charged with third-degree domestic battery.

Thursday, Feb. 2

5 p.m. Randon Webb, 27, Pea Ridge, reported his truck was hit by an unknown vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Slack Street. He said the truck was parked there from 7 a.m. until about 7 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 3

8:35 a.m. A resident on Hayden Road reported theft and breaking and entering from shop buildings in the city limits of Pea Ridge. Items missing included a chain saw, wood splitter and other tools.

Sunday, Feb. 5

10:10 a.m. Police received a report of a small Yorkshire terrier wearing a sweater and collar was found in a yard on D.J. Duvall Drive. The dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic; it was scanned for a microchip and one was found.

7:42 p.m. Police received a report of a criminal trespass at a residence on Peck Road involving someone driving a four-wheeler on private property. As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 17-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia and booked into the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.
