A Pea Ridge man was found guilty of indecent exposure and committed to 14 days in the Benton County Jail by Judge Ray Bunch in Pea Ridge court Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Alan Fletcher, 53, Pea Ridge, was arrested July 20 as a result of an investigation into a complaint of "indecent exposure" from an employee at a business on North Curtis Avenue.

According to Arkansas law (5-14-112), a person commits indecent exposure if, with the purpose to arouse or gratify a sexual desire of himself or herself or of any other person, the person exposes his or her sex organs in a public place or in public view."

According to the probable cause affidavit, an adult female complainant, who worked at the business claimed the suspect had sat in his vehicle in the parking lot "for an extended period of time" while he also publicly exposed his genitalia. She reported he then entered the business, approached and spoke to her, then left without making any purchase. The complainant reported confronting the suspect about his behavior while he was still at the store.

During the interview, the man admitted the exposure.
