Mitchell Roy Hadley

Mitchell Roy Hadley, 81, of Bentonville, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017. He was born June 10, 1936, in Clifty to Clyde and Esther Margaret Harrison Hadley.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy before beginning his career as a professional truck driver, compiling well over 1 million accident free miles. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting mushrooms and game.

For nearly 60 years he was the loving husband of Zelphy Hadley, who survives.

Survivors include his wife, Zelphy Hadley; daughter, Kim Leach (Lyle) of Bentonville; three grandchildren, Jeremy Leach of Bentonville, Andrea Chapman (Cody) of Beebe and Chris Leach of Avoca; eight siblings and many dear friends.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville.

Entombment and full military honors will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum, in Rogers.

Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Mary Ann Ruth Lasater

Mary Ann Ruth Lasater, 92, died Aug. 18, 2017, at the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville with her family by her side. She was born on Jan. 16, 1925, in Rogers to Pearl Irene Deason Murphy and Thomas O'Connell (TOC) Murphy.

For the past two years, Mary Ann resided with her daughter Janice in Bella Vista, Ark.

Raised on her family's apple orchard between Rogers and Bentonville, Mary Ann graduated from Bentonville High School in 1943. Afterward, she moved to California to live with her older sisters and for a time she was a "Rosie the Riveter." After a few years, Mary Ann returned home to Benton County.

On Jan. 25, 1947, Mary Ann married Joe H. Lasater in the Centerton Methodist Church with the Reverend Catherine Ferrill officiating. The Lasaters settled in Pea Ridge and remained there during their 68 years of marriage.

Mary Ann and Joe were charter members of the Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church where she served as secretary/treasurer for more than 30 years, while Joe served as a deacon. Years later they joined the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers where Mary Ann had attended while growing up. Throughout her life, she worked at several local industries but she excelled in her role as a nurse's aide, caregiver and volunteer. In her late 70s, she and Joe revived their love of dancing and could be found most Saturday nights at Snow's Red Barn in Mountain, Mo.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her parents; and five siblings, Geraldine Nichols Langston, Maxine Nichols Phipps, Ralph Murphy, C.T. Murphy and John D. Murphy.

Survivors are a sister, Barbara Estep of Ukiah, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Murphy of California City, Calif., and Marilyn Lasater of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Janice Lasater of Bella Vista and Donna Lasater of Bella Vista; a son, John (Sandy) Lasater of Pea Ridge; granddaughter, Shannon (Nate) Chamberlain of Edmond, Okla., and Shawn Lasater of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandsons by marriage, Patrick (Amy) Mitchell of Springfield, Mo., and Ryan (Krystle) Mitchell of Yukon, Okla.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family members will be a 1 p.m. Friday at Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Shane Pair officiating.

Inurnment will take place later in the day in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Bob Parish

Bob Parish, 56, of Noel, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., after a brief illness. He was born on Nov. 16, 1960, in Pineville, Mo., to John and Mary Jean (Potarf) Parish.

He was a lifelong resident of Noel, Mo., and a 1979 graduate of McDonald County High School. On May 24, 1980, he was united in marriage to Alesia Sherman and to this union a son and daughter were born. Besides being a hardworking cattle farmer, Bob also drove a school bus for the McDonald County School District for 35 years. In 1980, he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and followed the Baptist faith throughout his life.

He enjoyed farming, especially baling hay, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren of whom he was very proud of. During the school year you could usually find Bob running the clock and scoreboard for all the Noel fifth- and sixth-grade home basketball games and if it wasn't a home game, he was driving the bus taking the team to their game. When speaking of bus driving, Bob often said maybe some day he would haul someone that would become famous or even president.

He was preceded in death by his father John Parish; paternal grandparents, Everett and Winnie (Pritchard) Parish; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Tina Potarf; and two cousins, Bill Emanuel and Diane (Emanuel) Jordan.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Alesia Ann Parish of the home; two children, Bobby Lee Parish II and wife, Le'Ann, and Ann Marie Parish, all of Noel; three grandchildren, Zoe Elizabeth Parish, John Matthew Parish and Daniel Lee Parish; his mother, Mary Jean Parish of Noel; a sister, Mary Sue Parish of Noel; his aunt and uncle, Anna Lee and Wayne Emanuel of Sulphur Springs; brother-in-law, Aaron Sherman of Anderson, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Dr. Karen Sherman of Pea Ridge and Sandra Rickman of Pineville, Mo.; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Friday in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at the Noel Elementary School with Pastor Cecil Hall officiating.

Burial followed in the Noel Cemetery.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers were Tim Kilby, Flint Cummings, David Holloway, Andrew Sherman, Kyle Jordan, Bob Porterfield, Matt Watkins, Travis White and Nathan Sherman.

Dick Davis, Don Underwood, David Collingsworth, Aaron Sherman, Wayne Emanuel and Gary Bowman served as honorary pallbearers.
