Sponsors needed for baccalaureate

Sponsors are needed for the annual baccalaureate service for Pea Ridge High School graduating seniors. It is sponsored every year by the Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance with a group of parents, seniors and pastors to help in the planning and organization of this important event.

The baccalaureate service is an opportunity for the community to share in this time with the graduating seniors. In the past, the cost for this event has been approximately $1,200, according to officials with the alliance, which does all that it can to financially support this service, but simply cannot support the entire cost. Traditionally it has been friends of our community who have supported this service.

Names of all sponsors or business that sponsor will be published in the baccalaureate program. Gifts to the Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance to help sponsor the event are tax-deductible. A complete itemization of expenses incurred will be provided on request.

"We feel that this Christian emphasis is very important for our seniors at this pivotal time of their lives," said Al Fowler, president of the alliance. "This can be a special gift from the Pea Ridge Community to the seniors and their families."
