Blackhawk fans are being asked to wear red to this Friday's varsity football game in honor of Kyler Williams, the Springdale student/athlete who died this weekend.
There will be a "red out" in his honor.
Springdale High School football star Kyler Williams died Saturday in a car crash, according to a Springdale Public Schools official. Williams was killed Saturday night in an accident about 5 miles south of U.S. 412 near Marble. He was driving a 2002 Suzuki north on Arkansas 21 when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned several times before he was ejected, according to a fatal crash summary from Arkansas State Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
