Veterans parade and memorial dedication

A ceremony dedicating the new Veterans Memorial will be held at the culmination of the Veterans Parade slated for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, according to Jerry Burton, commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8109, Pea Ridge.

Jay Churchwell, 99, and a veteran, will be the grand marshal.

Staging for the parade begins at noon on Townsend Way between Community First Bank and White Oak Station, Kenneth Craig, VFW senior vice commander, said.

Craig said he would like to see horses and a horse club participate in the parade
