A race to raise funds to benefit student Destiny Desantiago and her family will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, beginning at Pea Ridge Middle School, according to Heather Wade.
The 5K run/walk Orange Out race begins at 8 a.m. with registration beginning at 7 a.m. in front of the sixth-grade entrance. The course is flat and mostly concrete and consists of three one-mile loops. There is no entry cost, but donations are encouraged, Wade said. Checks may be made to Pea Ridge Middle School.
Destinyis a sixth-grade student at Pea Ridge Middle School who is battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
