Summer lunch offered

Special to The TIMES

Pea Ridge School District provides free meals to children during the summer.

Beginning May 31, lunch will be served at Pea Ridge Primary School on Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to noon. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child under age 18 may come to eat. The program will continue through July 22. For more information, contact Keith Martin at (800)451-0032 or [email protected].

Pea Ridge School District will provide transportation from scheduled pick-up and drop-off locations. These locations include Givens Place, Standing Oaks, Maple Glen, Summit Meadows, Windmill Estates and Battlefield View subdivisions. They will also have scheduled locations at the corner of North Davis and Lee Town Road, Gann Ridge Road and Beaver Hollow Road.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that low-income children continue to grow and learn during the summer. Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Pea Ridge School District to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.
