No hazardous waste

The annual spring cleanup begins Tuesday, April 5, for residents of Pea Ridge. One change is that household hazardous wastes will not be accepted.

7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 - Friday, April 8

7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9

Items will be received from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, according to Nathan See, superintendent of the Street Department.

City officials were notified by Wendy Cravens, director of the Benton County Solid Waste District, that the district will not accept HHW from community cleanup events during 2016. City residents can dispose of HHW on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Rogers location of the County Convenience Center, according to Cravens. The satellite convenience center is located at 2300 N. Arkansas St. and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
