A drug distributing operation has been shut down as a result of an investigation by Pea Ridge Police.

On Thursday, March 17, shortly before 4 p.m., police issued a "no knock search warrant" on the house on It'll Do Road believed to be the source of a drug selling operation. Inside the house, police found marijuana plants growing in flower pots.

Large amounts of cash ($3,140 in a plastic bag and $940 in a white sock) as well as drugs and various items used to package and sell the drugs were confiscated from a residence at 14593 It'll Do Road.

The resident, James Kelly, was not at home and was located later at a nearby residence, according to the police report.

Kelly, 37, Pea Ridge, was arrested for possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and five felonies: manufacture of Sch. IV, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearm by certain persons and possession of Sch. I controlled substance.

Items confiscated included four marijuana plants, top soil, lights used for marijuana grow, handgun and magazine full of ammunition, boxes of ammunition, baggies of green leafy substance, bag of green powder, empty pill capsules and metal marijuana pipes with residue.
