Granny's Quilts of Love

Granny's Quilts of Love met May 17, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. We had 25 members in attendance including four guests.

To date, Granny's members have made 22,120 quilts, 5,988 hats and 5,950 pillows. The quilts, hats and pillows are donated to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, to give a critically ill child a little joy.

In celebration of reaching 22,000 quilts we had cake, ice cream and tea. Mayor Jackie Crabtree, Winona Woods and Marcia Graham made remarks.

Our next meeting will be 9:30 a.m. June 21 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis, Pea Ridge. Nathan See will be the guest speaker. We will be cutting more quilt kits. Be sure to bring scissors, all finished quilts and batting trimmings.
