Free family movie nights

Summer family movies will be shown at City Park. All movies are free and have an estimated start time of 8:15 p.m. The events are sponsored by the Pea Ridge Parks Commission.

Any group wishing to sell concessions at the movies should contact Park Commission chairman Joseph Carlson (479-544-1246) or any of the other park commissioners.

Movie dates and titles are:

• Saturday, June 11: "Lilo and Stitch"

• Saturday, June 25: "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

• Saturday, July 9: "Max"

• Saturday, July 23: "Goosebumps"

Music at the Firehouse

GARFIELD -- "Music at the Firehouse! with The Black Oak Band" sponsored by Northeast Benton County Volunteer Fire Department will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and Saturday, June 25, in the NEBCO Community Center, U.S. Hwy. 62 and South Wimpy Jones Road, Garfield.

There is plenty of free parking, room to dance, no cover or admission, donations only with 100 percent going to NEBCO Fire-EMS. Mark your 2016 calendars for "Music at the Firehouse!" on the second and fourth Saturdays, April through September.

Dance scheduled

SELIGMAN, Mo. -- A sock hop is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in the Seligman Event Center, This will be a Sock Hop, music from the '50s, '60s and '70s. The band will be Cheyenne. There will be dances on June 18 and June 25; no alcohol or smoking allowed. Call 417-662-3612. The Seligman Event Center is north of town on Missouri Hwy. 37.
