Greetings Pea Ridge friends,

Recently Mayor Jackie Crabtree and Tony Townsend gave me a tour of where the library used to be just three years ago. Wow! What a cozy little library that must have been. The building down town holds a distinct place in our city's history. It is always a good idea to understand where you came from so that you can be humble and grateful of where you are today. I am very grateful.

Library hours

Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our Still Life drawing class was a great success. We had 13 amazing artist showing off their skills. Each student had half a lime in front of their paper. Mrs. Webb taught them all about where to start and how to shade based on their own perspective. The next art class will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27. Water Colors with Mrs. Webb, be sure to come by the library and sign your children up, for ages 5 to 10. Register early; the last session filled up.

The library is always looking for talented community members who would like to volunteer and share their knowledge with others. Please call or stop by if you have any ideas.

We had an amazing turn out for story time this last week. Thank you very much to the Pea Ridge Police Department for taking the time to come and read with the children at story hour. We are truly grateful for your presence, service and dedication in our community.

We have Primary through eighth grade school supply lists available.

Be sure to check the web page www.pearidgecommunitylibrary.org and the Facebook page for updates. We now have four different book clubs to join -- one for adults, high school, seventh- and eighth-grade students and sixth-grade students. Club members will read one book a month.

Mayor Crabtree will join us for story hour and a craft Wednesday, July 27. Please come join us for what should be a fantastic time.
