Head-on wreck injures two

A two-vehicle wreck about 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, sent two people to the hospital and blocked traffic on North Curtis Avenue (Ark. Hwy. 94) south of downtown. According to the police report, a vehicle driven by Samuel Harpole, 88, of Garfield, with passenger Marlys Harpole, 85, was northbound when it was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Michel L. Kniffen, 54, Pineville, Mo. Kniffen was cited for driving left of center and careless and prohibited driving.
