Seniors serve Colors Day court

Seven Pea Ridge High School seniors were selected by the members of the senior class to serve as maids for the 2016 Colors Day Court. One of the young ladies will be selected as the Colors Day queen.

Miss Melanie Beehler is the daughter of Scott and Angela Beehler. A native of Pea Ridge, she has been in Pea Ridge schools for seven years. Her favorite social media is Pinterest. When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I don't like hamburgers. She admires her mother. After graduation, she plans to attend college and become a surgeon. Miss Beehler will be escorted by Mr. Alan Sicairos.

Miss Christina Cotton is the daughter of Billy and Veronica Cotton. A native of Pea Ridge, she has been in Pea Ridge schools for 12 years. Her favorite social media is Instagram and Pinterest. When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I did gymnastics for eight years at state level. She admires her mother and father. After graduation, she plans to go to University of Central Arkansas and major in kinesiology, then go to graduate school to get her doctorate in physicl therapy. Miss Cotton will be escorted by Mr. Eric Hankins.

Miss Lorrie Klein is the daughter of Robert and Cathy Klein. A native of Rogers, she has been in Pea Ridge schools since kindergarten. She said she is an "Instagram junkie." When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I'm really passionate about performing arts. She admires Belinda Brewer or Roxanne Enix, it's too hard to choose one. After graduation, she plans to attend the College of the Ozarks to double major in exercise physiology and dietetics. Miss Klein will be escorted by Mr. Tyler Kremer.

Miss Kallie Koon is the daughter of William and Nikki Koon. A native of Little Rock, Ark., she has been in Pea Ridge schools for eight years. Her favorite social media is Instagram. When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I love superheroes and am a huge Marvel fan. She admires her "wonderful mother." After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university to major in biology so she can be a wildlife biologist. Miss Koon will be escorted by Mr. Landon Wright.

Miss Ashtyn Mondy is the daughter of Christopher and Andrea Mondy. A native of Martinsville,Va., she has been in Pea Ridge schools for 10 years. Her favorite social media is Instagram and Pinterest. When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I don't like breakfast food; I have lived in six states. She admires her mother and father. After graduation, she plans to attend Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and major in elementary eucation. Miss Mondy will be escorted by Mr. Ethan Burton.

Miss Katelyn Ralph is the daughter of Tisha and Randy Ralph. A native of Hope, Ark., she has been in Pea Ridge schools for two years. Her favorite social media is Instagram. When asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I do competitive wakeboarding. She admires her mother. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Arkansas. Miss Ralph will be escorted by Mr. Bryce Beckmann.

Miss Allie Van Houden is the daughter of John and Tina Van Houden. A native of Pea Ridge, she has been in Pea Ridge schools since kidergarten. Her favorite social media is Instagram and Twitter. when asked what is something unique, special, about herself, she said: I have a love for special education and helping people out. She admires her mother. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, and major in biology. Miss Van Houden will be escorted by Zachary Harris.

The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in Blackhawk Gym, Pea Ridge High School.

There will be a Colors Day dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, in the PRHS cafeteria.
