A Pea Ridge High School graduate, Kasey Smith, will be one of 18 University of Arkansas at Fort Smith students who will vie for the title of Miss UAFS at the university's scholarship pageant held at 7 p.m. March 12 at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center. Smith, 20, of Pea Ridge, is the daughter of Ken and Jani Smith of Pea Ridge.
The Miss UAFS pageant is a preliminary to the Miss Arkansas and Miss America scholarship programs. Stacey Jones, associate vice chancellor for campus and community events, directs the Miss UAFS pageant and is a producer for the Miss Arkansas pageant.
