Ag classes inspire

Having agriculture, ag mechanics, ag metals, and animal science as classes here at Pea Ridge High school are very important to most of the students here, and to me as well. These class are getting me ready to take on the real world.

I can get a scholarship in FFA classes by becoming a four-year completer if I take one of these classes each year -- which would be amazing because I plan to go to college to be a vet. Ag helped me to learn the different breeds of the animals and their different names for the females and the males and even the offspring of different species. Ag mechanics helped me to learn some welding and how to take charge in yourself and go your own way to complete and build projects by yourself or with a partner. Animal science has helped me to learn more about animal breeds and how to take care of them and what's the best way to keep them safe and healthy.

FFA has also taught me how to take charge and go my own way, how to have patience in others and to stay calm when things start to get hectic. FFA is very important to the future generations of agricultural leaders.

FFA stands for Future Farmers of America, if you don't educate the young now about agriculture they won't know what to do and without farmers you have no food, so in that case FFA plays a very important role on our world. Having those classes means you're a part of FFA, but FFA isn't just a school club it's more like a family. We all get along well and have so much fun making memories together, and going on our FFA trips like to Bass Pro shop, and the state fair. FFA is very important.

Our ag teacher Mr. Perry Mason is one of my favorite teachers here not just because he's our ag teacher but because he gets us, he understands, which makes these classes so much fun, and better to be in. And he has not only had me in this class but he has also had three of my older siblings in his classes. My mom and dad have been a big help since the first day my sister was in Mr. Mason's classes, my parents also consider FFA as family, and one day I plan to be a part of FFA when I have my own family and to help them like my family helped my siblings when they were in FFA.
