From Staff Reports

Spread a Little Love was a community service project by students at Pea Ridge High School gearing up to Valentines' Day which culminated with a dance at Autumn Place, Saturday, Feb. 13, hosted by The League of Literates.

More than 50 individuals -- students and members of the faculty -- helped fill Valentine-themed boxes with "treats" for area nursing homes. Then at PRHS on Friday, Feb. 12, students made Valentines to accompany each box. Nearly 100 PRHS students and faculty were involved in implementing the Valentine treat boxes for area nursing homes and the Valentine bags for Saving Grace.

Projects included:

• Valentine bags for Saving Grace: 13 gift bags including fragrance, socks, treats and a soda provided by Community Service Sponsor, Londa Kever;

• Valentine treats for Autumn Place created by the PRHS Food Lab;

• valentine dance at Autumn Place on Sat., Feb. 13, sponsored by the PRHS League of Literates (also known as The PRHS Book Club); and

• Digital Valentine campaign to sick children at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
