Jr. Blackhawks take 2nd

TIMES photograph by Annette Beard The ninth-grade Pea Ridge Blackhawks finished their season 20-4 and earned the District Tournament runner-up. The team was undefeated in conference play and lost to Berryville 28-33 in the District finals. Coach Heath Neal said: “I’m just proud of my kids and how far we have came from the beginning of the year. This is a team that had a below .500 record as seventh-graders, so the hard work and dedication they have put in has paid off tremendously. These young men represent our basketball program very well and I couldn’t be more proud! No trophy or record can replace the character and heart these young men display each and every day.”
