Children's Valentines on display

Attention book lovers -- the library must sell all those duplicate books we have collected over the past couple of years. We have sci-fi, romance, mystery, Christian fiction and children's books. There are lots of free and very low priced books to choose from as well. Come see what we have to offer.

Starting Feb. 29, the library hours will change. The new hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. We just did not have a large enough patron usage between the hours of 6 and 8 to warrant being open.

Library hours

We will be leaving our Valentine's Day decorations up for another week or so. We want everyone to have an opportunity to see the valentines that the children made. Wednesday morning story/craft time is always a bright spot in our week.

A bid was accepted for the renovation of the multi-purpose room at the Library Board meeting on Feb. 11. This information will be presented to the City Council at their meeting on Feb. 23. If everything meets their approval, work should begin shortly thereafter.

A representative from Congressman Womack's office will at the library in March. Watch this column in the paper and our Facebook page for date and time.

Thank you to all our volunteers who are helping at the library. You make my life easier and I appreciate each of you.

See you at the library!
