A century-old farm house near Pea Ridge was destroyed by fire before dawn Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called out at 3:12 a.m. Wednesday to 17186 Patterson Road., north of Pea Ridge about a mile from the Missouri state line.

Firefighters from Pea Ridge, Northeast Benton County and Avoca responded and found the two-story house fully involved in flames.

The house — the former home of Mitchell Webb — was vacant and had recently been broken into, according to family members.
