Lady Blackhawks fall short against Lady Lions

Despite junior Maggie Fletcher putting 14 points on the board, the Pea Ridge Lady Blackhawks lost to the Gravette Lady Lions 51-46. Gravette clinched their lead in the fourth quarter on a free throw.

With 10 points in the third quarter, Gravette added to their existing lead. Both teams played a physical game, with Blackhawks picking up 25 fouls while Gravette had 21.

Junior Maggie Fletcher led Pea Ridge's offense, going 4-for-8 (50 percent) from the field while also sinking 100 percent (6-for-6) of free throws attempted.

Senior Laura Socha achieved double digits, scoring 14 points for Pea Ridge (3-for-6). Also contributing for Pea Ridge were Avery Dayberry (10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals), Alli Whatley (4 points, 2 rebounds), Jennifer Anthony (4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals), and Sunny Olson (2 points). Socha was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up 10 rebounds and one block.

Pea Ridge finished the game with 39 rebounds (13 offensive / 26 defensive), two blocks and eight steals.
