Granny's Quilts of Love

Granny's Quilts of Love met July 19 at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge.

To date, Granny's members have made 22,345 quilts, 6,092 hats and 6,135 pillows. The quilts, hats and pillows are donated to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock to give a critically ill child a little joy.

The 13th annual dinner and auction is coming up Saturday, Aug. 27, at Pea Ridge High School cafeteria. The dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. and the auction will start around 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, drinks and homemade desserts.

Adults $6, children 12 and under $4, and under 2 will be free. The raffle drawing will be $1,000 cash and Yeti 45 Tundra cooler valued at $345. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Purchase tickets at the dinner and auction or from Granny's Quilts member.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, 9:30 a.m. at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis St., Pea Ridge. This will be the last meeting before the dinner and auction; all members need to attend so plans can be finalized.
