Volunteers make it happen

If it is true that April showers bring May flowers, this area should be a floral paradise when the month of May rolls around. Board members have been busy cleaning out flower beds, trimming, pruning and raking leaves at the library. Thanks, everyone, for your hard work.

We should be in our last week of work on the multi-purpose room. We can hardly wait to get it furnished and show it off. The members of the Library Board will have much to discuss at the meeting on Thursday, April 21. We meet at 1:30 in the Quiet Room at the library.

Ten children attended Story Hour last week. Ms. Jacki assisted them in making and decorating cupcakes and cookies from paper plates. Mr. Warren has been working diligently to get the children's area organized so it is much easier to find age appropriate materials.

Representatives from the library will be attending the Summer Stock-Up Program at the Pea Ridge Primary School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26. We are looking forward to meeting students and their parents and answering any questions they may have about the library. Please stop by and visit with us.

Recently we had some duplicate large print books which we were pleased to donate to the residents of Autumn Place. We are always happy to share the wealth!

On a personal note, I want to say thank you to a very sweet patron who brought me a bouquet of flowers last week when I was having a very stressful day. That was so very thoughtful and brightened my day immeasurably. PRCL undoubtedly the best patrons in the area.

See you at the library!
